More Made Stuff
We needed drawers for the table/desk above, so I cut our old desk in half, and used one of the drawers for the desk/table, and one for our scanner and computer stuff.
We had a crappy old shelf that we had no use for in the new apartment, so I took it apart and screwed three of the shelves together for a keyboard stand. I put a coathook on the side for earphones.
We needed a heavy duty bookshelf, so I got two slabs of medium density fiberboard (MDF, as they say in the biz), cleft one in twain (as they say in the medieval biz) at a diagonal for the two uprights, and cut the other up into pieces to use as shelves.
I sprayed the top panel of this door in our kitchen with chalkboard paint. We use it for shopping lists. I don't know if it's worth not getting our security deposit back, but it's pretty useful.

I assume this cabinet used to contain an ironing board that was removed and replaced with glass shelves. I bought a tabletop ironing board and removed the attached folding stand. I removed the glass shelves -- breaking one in the process, of course -- and attached the ironing board to the original (wooden) shelf, using parts from the stand.
