Car-buying Experience

After requesting online prices from a few Honda dealers, I test drove a Fit, and was very impressed with the salesman who helped us (Frank). He was very low pressure. Later the same day, I got an offer from another dealer, so I called Frank to see if he could match it and was told he won't be beat on price, so come on in. I did, and we settled on a purchase price and trade-in price. I was very pleased with the purchase price (they matched the other dealer's offer), but I was pretty uncomfortable with the trade-in price. The next day, I asked for more, and the Sales Mgr. agreed to it. The Finance Mgr showed me some extended warranty stuff, but I said no thank you and that was it. They also matched my credit union rates (I had been pre-approved), so that saved me some time. When I went back to take delivery of the car, everything was perfect. All the numbers were what we agreed on (other dealers have changed the interest rate on the loan -- Keeler did not do that). Frank told me what I need to know about the Fit's controls, features, etc, and I was in and out in about 25 minutes. I plan on getting another car sometime in the next year, and based on this experience, Keeler will absolutely be my first choice.

Guitar Fetish (GFS) Sells Crap

Not only does GFS sell extremely low quality products, you will probably have to pay for shipping to return them. Here are pictures of a strat body I bought. The holes did not even come close to lining up with the holes on my Fender-licensed neck (which lined up perfectly with the previous three Strat bodies it was on). So I contacted GFS, and I got a pretty impersonal reply telling me to return the body. When they received it, I was refunded the purchase price, but was not reimbursed for shipping it back (about $10). It seems like they could have eaten the $10 and made it back (and then some) in my ensuing purchases (of which there would have been many). Short-sightedness loses once again.

Here are the pics. It might not be too obvious how crooked these holes are, but as you know, the opposite corners of a rectangle should be the same distance apart (Top left to bottom right = Top right to bottom left). Clearly not the case here.
